During the lockdown of 2020 well into 2021, I took the time to study online with some fabulous teachers. One of which was the great Annie Murphy-Robinson. I learned her fabulous technique of “sanded charcoals”. There was something cathartic about the process. It gave me a sense of calm…a place for my brain to rest during those sanding sessions. Art students learn to draw theses casts all over the world in art schools and ateliers. I have always wanted to do this particular one. So, I was pleased to see that was our subject during this 4 week online class.
